Around 11 years ago, after the birth of my fourth child, my world started to fall apart.

My mom passed away after a brief bout with cancer. Then, my business started to lose money.

All of these stress led to more eating and more bad habits.

One pound gained quickly led to five pounds.. and before you know it, I was around 40 pounds heavier.

At first, I tried everything.

Vegan, paleo, intermittent fasting, keto, etc.

But everything changed when I focused on keeping things simple and fighting inflammation.

3 Simple "Hacks" To Knock 20 Years Off Your Body

  • Less Dairy

Everyone is unique and has their own "triggers". For some, it's gluten. For me, it's dairy.

I grew up on cereal in the 70s and 80s... and like any kid back in the day, I had my morning cereal with milk. Lots and lots of milk.

So I tried going dairy-free for 24 hours and was shocked how much better I immediately felt.

I recommend you try to eliminate just ONE thing for 24 hours and see how you feel. They key is to focus on ONE thing at a time to see what your triggers are.

Maybe this week it's dairy. Next week it could be gluten.

It's important to only eliminate ONE thing at a time so you can figure out what (if anything) is causing you the most issues.


  • Break a Sweat Each Day

As a former personal trainer, I was obsessed with workouts... counting every exercise, set and rep!

But for the past few years, I focus on shorter workouts I enjoy.

For me, it's a combination of treadmill walking and bodyweight strength training circuits. The entire workout takes me around 20 minutes.

Find what you enjoy. Maybe you love walking, Peloton, playing tennis, yoga, biking, cross-fit.. it doesn't matter. Consistency is more important than the activity!
